Community Board Grants - get your applications in 15 July 2021 Applications for our Community Board Grants close Saturday 31 July. Make sure you get your applications in so that you don't miss out. If you're part of an organisation that provides a community service, activity or event that is not-for-profit, you could be eligible for one of our Community Board grants. Each Community Board area has a contestable grants pool to encourage and support not-for-profit organisations that have a positive impact on the community. The grants help local organisations pay for specific projects or the maintenance of facilities that benefit our communities benefit from. Event sponsorship funding applications for all Community Board areas are also to be submitted through this Community Board grant programme. In their May meetings, our Community Boards all decided not to identify priorities for funding this year and leave it to the community to decide what’s important to them. "We always have a far greater number of groups apply than funds available and each Community Board takes a considerable amount of time and thought in its decision making,” says our Communications and Economic Development Manager Laurna White. "It's great to see so many organisations supporting our communities." The grant values available in each area are: Coromandel/Colville Board Community - $25,000 Mercury Bay Community Board - $24,000 Whangamatā Community Board - $60,000 Tairua/Pauanui Community Board Grants - $37,000 Thames Community Board - $75,000 For the full criteria and application forms, check out tcdc.govt.nz/cbgrants.
